Brand Strategy

Create and launch a socks brands in the UAE? Easy. At Yellow, nothing stops us. And certainly not a challenge to develop a full line of socks! From naming to actual design of the collection, we wanted to create a brand that remains timeless, one that stands out through the clutter of ‘fashionable socks’!

The insight

Well for that, we had to get in the shoes (quite literally perhaps?!) of fashionistas, see and be seen’ers, self-expressers. And with a target like that in mind, it can only be a ‘your socks, your choice’ mindset. It’s a ‘make a statement’ kinda deal here.

The approach

So how do you create a brand that resonates with a youngster tribe that is bombarded with brand content all day? Our challenge (accepted): reach a generation of confident, stylish, dance-to-your-own-beat’ers. How we did it? By creating a unique name, an eye-catching eye (yes, we did this on purpose for your curiosity to take you Instagramming the account right now and see what the pun is about!) and… wait for it.. an entire collection of designs! Geometric, Doodles, Patterns, you name it!  Welcome to the colorful world of Toucan. Did we mention what a Toucan is?
