Yellow was tasked to create a brand strategy and identity for a dynamic and diversified holding company that encompasses several different business verticals from FMCG to Real Estate to Early Education and Healthcare, among many others.

The insight

We started with identifying the shared values between the different business units and considering future potential verticals. We developed the brand strategy and defined the vision – To be the most sought after partner by the doers and the dreamers.

Our brand essence for Hattan is Investing in Progress, as the business units contribute to the economic development of the region as well as the professional development of all the team members across the brands.

The approach

Based on the strategy, guiding principles and brand essence, Yellow developed a modern and minimalist brand identity for Hattan. The identity was also inspired by the meaning of the word ‘hattan’ – which in arabic, means ‘gentle rain’, thus the negative spaces within the word mark. The negative spaces also showcase openness and agility which is a key guiding principle for Hattan.

Since it’s launch, Hattan has received a lot of earned media through PR and has received a lot of attention from the region for the innovative brands within its portfolio.
