Dardasha books’ founders came to Yellow with a rebranding task as they were expanding their product line beyond books to include developmental toys and educational tools and required rebranding to communicate the wider product offering and to also inject more excitement and dynamism into the brand.

The insight
‘Dardasha’ means ‘conversations’ in Arabic. From our multiple workshops with the founders and discussions with them regarding their purpose and new products, we crafted the brand essence: Dardasha sparks conversations.
Why? Because Dardasha plays an active role in igniting curiosity and embracing our roots, language and culture in young minds (and parents alike).
Dardasha is here to start a dialogue about the importance of Arabic language and culture in kids, about breaking the generational trauma, about emotional regulation, about the importance of bed-time stories and about so much more.
The approach
Based on the strategy and brand essence, we rebranded the identity and crafted a fun, playful visual language that aligns with the brand’s vision. We ensured consistency across each touch point, defined the imagery style (ensured that even in the images of children we use, we showcase inclusivity), developed beautiful packaging and designed their website to clearly communicate the positioning and showcase their products.
Dardasha has grown strength to strength by adding even more innovative products and experiences, and spreading the word of preserving the language and culture through our future leaders and change-makers.
While we don’t pick favourites, Yellow really enjoyed bringing this refreshed brand to life due to the founders vision and enthusiasm. Hands down the best compliment we have received is that the founders ‘felt seen’ by the team at Yellow, what more can we ask for?!
